We Scouts and Scouters are big collectors. Why not have a Boy Scouts of America 100th Anniversary PEZ dispenser created? PEZ collecting is big business - vintage PEZ's collect upwards of $500 each! The production cost is $1.00 each and these would easily sell for $3.00 - $5.00 each. The minimum order is 750,000 and take seven months to produce - so we need to get crackin'!

Hello Chris,

Thank you for your interest in PEZ!

In follow up to our conversation today regarding your inquiry into creating a new custom PEZ dispenser for the Boy Scouts of America …the answer is yes! We can create a new custom PEZ dispenser for your organization. However, there is a very stringent review and approval process of all images, logos and custom PEZ dispenser concepts before permission is granted for any potential PEZ dispensers.
We take pride in the management of the PEZ brand and monitor it on a continuous basis to make sure all products conforms to the standard that the brand has achieved for over eighty years.

Below is a price quote for the development of a standard type dispenser. I have also attached images of the last custom dispenser we produced for another Client.

The costs to develop, package, and deliver a new custom PEZ dispenser similar to the Chick-Fil-A are as follows:

Up-front sculpt, clay, paint, two to three part mold @ $5,000 to $12,500 USD.
Product packaged bulk in poly film bags with one roll of PEZ Candy.
The cost is $0.99 per unit.
The minimum units will range between 750,000 - 1,000,000
Your candy flavor choice is lemon or orange
The delivery timeframe would be approximately 7 – 10 months for these dispensers
Delivery charges FOB destination.

The above proposed pricing is for producing a “one to two part custom mold production of a custom dispenser only.” A more complex mold or packaging with candy will change the pricing structure.

We hope this information helps, please call us with any further questions.

Sincerely,

Buninton Stevens

I agree! We spend a BUNCH of money to produce these "gift" catalogs that contain only a few items of the many that we offer. It seems that we should put our efforts into producing an annual catalog (without all the bells and whistles) that contains ALL the products the BSA has to offer. Then post it as a PDF on scoutstuff.org.

I noticed this the first time I put it on. And with slits cut in the sides, it almost promotes itself to be worn like a cabana shirt ...untucked! Also loose the velcro, cheap buttons and non-embroidered flag and "Boy Scouts of America." And bring back the more durable, higher-quality material too.
