THis would be especially handy with Trainer Development Conference so as a Council Program Exec, I could see who has taken that training and enlist their help in Training within their District or for the Council.

I've found that the Training Not Complted report from ScoutNet is the most accurate... HOWEVER, it does not include YPT or Fast Start for most positions which we know is "required" to be considered "Trained". It also does seem to be having problems with the New Leader Essentials transition to This is Scouting.

How can we be pushing Mandatory Training if we have no accurate way to verify it?

I think this and any other training required to be considered "Trained" for a position, should show up on the "Training Completed" or "Training Not Completed" report in ScoutNet Membership Reports. These might be complete reports if they could show these things when they expire. Mandatory Training is being implemented in the future so we need a good way to track these things.

Hi John,

I'm from Mid-America Council in Omaha, NE and we've started a "ScoutFit" program where we are designing an award that highlights various health programs already offered through Scouting such as merit badges, belt loops, activity pins and so on. The Cub or Boy can earn this award by doing a pre-test for thier personal fitness, then completing certain requirements relative to their program (already offered) and completing the Presidents' Physical Fitness Challenge and then completing a post-test for their personal fitness. We are in the stages of packaging this award and promoting it to earn patches and other things. You can keep an eye on our website at www.mac-bsa.org and if scroll over a program (i.e. Cub Scouts) you will see a drop down menu and select ScoutFit from it.

I really like your Hiking Event idea! May try and get some volunteers from our committee to do this!

Thank you!

This is true and I was told it's because ScoutNet auto-rolls over a cub on his birthday or during re-charter so if the youth has not yet earned his Tiger it won't show up.

I have many volunteers upset about this as we are trying to get them to use the system for "all their advancement needs" and it's not delivering.
