This would allow torubled units to more easily "fake" membership. The yearly recharter process is a nice process to make sure that units are keeping up with their records and purging inactice scouts from the books. If a unit can sign up 5 youth at the lifetime price, they no longer have to worry about memebership.
I worked with internet marketing as an intership while at college. We found that the facebook ads were VERY ineffective. Facebook charges on a "per click" basis, but even with a few hundred clicks traffic on the site we were promoting stayed at normal levels. There are ways to use youtube, facebook, twitter, linkedin, myspace and other networking sites more efficiently and at little to no cost.Your head is in the right place, but buying ad space on facebook is not the answer.
