It would be helpful for ordering registration forms to have a direct online order location for forms with confirmation and history available for registrars and office managers.

Thank you for your suggestion on updating our current registration form ordering process. I have challenged my team to review this and research the possibility of developing an on-line ordering process that would include your suggestions yet maintain our cost controls.
It would speed up processing time in registration if there was an electronic system in place to transfer a person from one council to another. Even if it required Scout Executive approval and the outgoing coucil registstrar acknowledgement. I have found that sometimes the unexpired membership card is not attached to the application and the new unit has a challenge obtaining the information from the family.

Our goal is to eventually have a one name file. We continue to research and evaluate the system requirements and legality of having a one name file since each Person Profile also includes council fundraising campaign giving history, and training and advancement records that are needed for local council historical reporting. Because we clearly see the value of being able to transfer members from one council to another in order to retain training, advancement and member ID’s, we are pursuing this goal.

Please update the training completed and the training incomplete report. It would be helpful if these reports were available by unit for Youth Protection Training with the date of completion. Presently we have a church sponsor that wants to verify that each adult volunteer is youth protection trained. If a work around is available please advise.

We have received a lot of similar suggestions. The Scoutnet functionality for recording, retaining, and reporting training records is being worked on currently. It is expected to be completed in 2010 as there are a number of challenges with the way the database was originally constructed.

Most adult unit volunteers are also merit badge counselors. It would be helpfull if a check box on the adult registratioin form was available for Merit Badge Counserlors to check off. It would save time, even if additional paperwork was required.

The suggestion warrants consideration. It has been passed on to Membership Resources for consideration.
I print the duplicate member listing every year that we have had Scout Net. I run person merge every year also for the duplicate members. In the begining this was a summer project. It has turned into a project for immediatly after recharter and has worked out well. It would be helpfull when the person selection screen is up to have a checkbox displayed that would indicate if that person is registered. Sometimes the address varies slightly and it would be helpful to know which is the correct address.

I just wanted to write a note of thanks to our chief Scout Executive. I replayed his January 2008 message about getting involved and being part of the program. I am a member of a council's clerical staff and also a volunteer. Yes, your message makes a big difference. Every exec board should have the opportunity to hear and see your message. Thanks again for sharing it.

Hi John, I am a local counicl registrar and I also volunteer with a local unit. How about a soccer or other sports oriented camporree. How about a Iron chef cook off with healthy food at a camporee? Just 2 quick ideas that come to mind.
