In the past month there was a report that came out that said the use of hand driers actually increases germs. The air filters in them are rarely if ever changed so the warmth from them is a breeding ground for germs. I am with the others, I use the towel to dry my hands and open the door.
Did you know that his cakes start at $1000 and goes up from there? He would either have to donate the cake or someone is going to have to come up with some money.
The extra sheet originally beloged to the TI 880 printers. With the desk top printers they serve as a privacy sheet if your print jobs go to a community printer. I also just return the blank shee to the printer. Also you can go into print preview and just print pages 1-3 instead of 1-4.
Though it sounds good and much easier, what about families that have several boys? Do they have a way to opt out of getting 2 or 3 copies of the magazine?
I'm all for saving paper but how is this blank page wasted? Are you throwing it away? I just put it back in the printer drawer. Granted it is a small headache if you forget to stop it from going through the printer but some offices have a community printer and the blank sheet is there to protect privacy. The blank page was originally for the continuous paper printers I believe and are still needed for them. No biggey either way.
Most of the time the only portion filled out is the unit number. No one takes the time to fill out leader information, so it is unlikely that they will take the time to fill in a phone number. Also they are not consistant as to the information listed. Sometimes it is the CM, Adavancement Chair, or the Den leader. Easiest just to look up the CM and call or email them to let them know "Johnny" isn't registered. I do it all the time.
I whole heartily agree. When a customer comes in and is not quite sure of what they want they always ask if we have a catalog they can look at. It is embarrassing to hand them a 3 year old catalog to look at because the promotional ones are so specific to the time of year. Or we have to invite them behind the counter to look at the on-line catalog. The promotional catalogs are fine for highlighting events and programs but there should still be a general catalog for uniforms, books, scrapbooking, etc. Why is this so hard to understand?
I agree. I too fax my orders and have noticed that more and more the orders are incorrect or missing items as to why. Other businesses list backordered - discontinued etc on their packing slips, this should just be standard practice.
If we don't at least try to expose our youth to these types of potential jobs we could lose the resource and it will end up being another job shipped overseas. This is a great skill and worthy of exploration.
Though it seems like a good idea, filling out the form is usually the only way our records get updated. (Maybe at recharter if someone actually looks at addresses and phone numbers.) Families move and a lot are dropping their land lines for cellphones. Unfortunatly we are not high on the priority list of people to update. Usually we only hear about an address change when someone complains they are not receiving their magazines. I do agree they transfer fee should be dropped. What is it really for anyway?
Some offices have a central printer and that blank sheet is for privacy so that confidential information is protected until the person who sent it to the printer can collect it.
I like the idea especially when children do not always have the same last names. It would make it easier to connect youth to adults. You would still need a separate form if one boy is old enough to be in Boy Scouts.
I have always thought a button hole on the merit badge sash would be a big improvment. The button is already on the shoulder why not use it when wearing the sash?
I agree with fconsidi, I find many people forget to inform us when they move and only find out when they move from one unit to another. Or they complain that they are not getting their magazine(s).
I totally agree. I also have a copy of the 2006 catalog I use to look thing up for customer. Very irritating and then I still have to go on-line to see if the item is still available or call Supply.
