Having a knot for those of us who have completed the training, and be able to distinguish the difference between two, three, and four bead recipients.

This can be done a couple of ways:

1) Have a "base knot" for just completing the course, and devices for staff and scoutmasters.
or,
2) Have three different knots. The square knot would be the same for all three (because they'd all be woodbadge) and have the borders be different. A tan for completion, silver mylar for staff, and gold mylar for scoutmasters (for example).

This suggestion has been made before. Wood Badge already has appropriate recognition; the neckerchief, leather thong and wooden beads. If there was a knot created, it would be a repeat of recognition for the same thing. The number of beads is already in place as participants receive 2, staff 3 and Scoutmasters 4.
