Similar to the recent health care debate that just virally travelled throughout facebook, on February 8, 2010 we create a viral campaign asking our scouting alumni to post on their facebook status "Once a Scout, Always a Scout" and the entire Scout Oath".
This would be an easy and quick way to celebrate scouting's 100th anniversary and market to 300 million people on facebook...

Simply make contact with Orange County Choppers. Ask the OCC team to work with 1 volunteer, 1 professional, and Michael Ramsey (National Staff) to design a 100th Anniversary Chopper.
This would be great publicity for OCC & the BSA. It would also be a huge promotional tool for the 100th Anniversary. It would bring a lot of national attention to the BSA during our anniversary (Youth, Adults etc...)
The Chopper would be paraded around the country on a trailer (maybe one of those cool clear "see through" covered trailers).
Have the Chief Scout Executive ride on the motorcycle (either on the float or free style :-) in the Rose Bowl Parade.
Finally, have the Chopper on display at the Jamboree. (Possibly have President Obama make a short appearance on the Chopper as a finale)...when he speaks at the Jamboree.
Then auction it off (National Aution) to raise money for the Boy Scouts of America 100th Anniverary. IT WOULD RAISE TONS OF MONEY AND CREATE ALL KINDS OF NEWS PUBLICITY!!!

ScoutNET runs so many reports. Could there be a way for ScoutNET to automatically populate all of the actual data from the previous year into the Quality Unit commitment forms? Every year I spend a couple of hours with my District Commissioner manually copying over this data from Advancemet, MyBSA, and District Totals Reports manually.
It would be great if with our objectives packets, we received these forms already specific to each unit and then we could just get them in the hands of the commissioners.
Most times if you hand a unit leader the form they have no idea what their actual data is from the previous year and just end up asking us.

How about adjusting the default of the Centennial Quality Unit Tracking section of MyBSA to 2008? After adjusting each unit, it defaults back to 2007, so I've been adjusting the 2007 quality status of all of my units and need to go back and do it for 2008.
