Evite for Cub Scout Recuitment
Warning In Progress
We need to equip our current evangelists "cub scout leaders and parents" with the tools to support our recruitment efforts.

Having an "evite type" invitation/template for our scout leaders to use would enable them to invite other prospective parents to join scouting. As we all know people want to be in the "in" or "keep up with the Jones'".

Creating a viral evite type cub scout recruitment avenue will allow families to see other families that are involved in scouting or looking to join, thus creating a tipping point to making it the "in thing" for families in a given neighborhood to be involved with.

There needs to be both a cub master/den leader option to create the template and an avenue for people to input other prospective parents in the original template.

This is brilliant! The folks who are most likely to invite other folks and families to join (and be successful) are ones that are already happy and are enjoying the program. This is a great opportunity for more grass roots/viral marketing. Nice job!

Great idea! We having been getting a number of Evites for my son to attend birthday parties. Using Evites as a supliment to the standard Peer-to-Peer recruiting would be terrific.

I think this is a great idea. I have used Evite specifically for a few meetings. Only probably is SPAM. This type of recruitment/e-mail is easliy captured by a SPAM filter. Just a warning though, because I think most people prefer e-mail to a letter or phone call. Great idea!

I disagree, all the boys in my pack think receiving a letter is like a present from Santa. (I had one ask once)
But my point is this, in so much of these boys world they are lossing the personal touch. i.e. ps3 Ibox DS etc. Have that personal interaction with a boy who may not know if scouting is right for him makes a difference.
