Bin Item Ordering
There should be a standardized process for ordering BIN items as well as a comprehensive list of all BIN items available to be ordered in order to facilitate easier ordering for councils.

We also need to improve the communications between the National Council departments and the Supply Division about these BIN items. We received a "Words to Live By" packet a couple of weeks ago from the Membership Impact Department. It included a copy of the Patrol Plus brochure, #18-821. The Supply Division says that items has been discontinued.

I completely agree with this! If you go online to order some of the items are not listed. You can call a division or area where you "think" the items might come from but sometimes that also does not work. At least list all of the items and give an explanation such as, "this item is currently unavailable - it is in the process of being updated and should be available by August, 2009" or "this item is no longer available and will not be re-printed." Anything to help us take less time looking for items.

In addition to a standardized form with description / id number, etc, it would nice to order these items on line and not have to do a fax.

Also, I find it really frustrating to order an item, and have it full of outdate information, incorrect membership and BL fees from 5 years ago.

Any improvement in this literature department would be greatly welcomed.

There should also be a very easy way for any professional to place an order for these via myBSA. Upon making a request, the Scout Exec. can be sent an e-mail to approve the order.
