Warning In Progress
With unit, non-unit, district, and council rosters available online from ScoutNet is it really necessary to print expire rosters for archive storage? Think of all the resources we could save by printing these items on a per request basis.

Good question. The expire rosters are a key and overlooked element in the registration files. They should provide a point in time snap shot who was active in the unit at time of recharter. Our retention policy calls for applications to be shredded after three years, the expire roster is only printed material of record that is retained.

I agree that pre-ScoutNet rosters should be saved. But, since 1999 when ScoutNet went live these records are now electronic.
Is it still necessary to print them every year?
