Current Membership on Scouting.org
Warning In Progress
Place the current membership total on the Scouting.org web page. Similar to the total hours found on the Good Turn for America web page. There could also be counters for: Alumni, Volunteers, Charter Partners, and even Eagle Scouts. With this tool we can define ourselves.

Needless to say, the Scouting.org home page is prime real estate and therefore content must be carefully considered. The Marketing Group will review the idea and determine if it fits the messaging that the Scouting.org site is designed for.

I'd rather be "defined" by "Scouts in the News" and "Michael's Great Adventure" than the numbers.

I think that MyBSA is a good place for the numbers. Scouting.org should be for what is behind the "numbers" and for reminding us and others that the "numbers" are people.

Please please do this.... the group I am in gets at least 3 calls a week from people looking for the current numbers for all sorts of reasons. This would move this time for calls over to more productive work time. Please do this.

Posting the number of Eagle Scout's is one thing...since we never lose any, that is a good idea.

However, posting total membership numbers might actually be slightly depressing. Unless the number is always going up we should not post falling numbers.
