Arena Show
Warning In Progress
One of the highlights of the jamboree is the arena show. One of the tough decisions has to be who will perform. You need to have someone who will appeal to a broad spectrum of people while still doing a "family" show.

I would suggest that "Weird Al" Yankovic would be an ideal choice. My wife and I went to see him this past August. His stage show is funny, clean, and the guitar player was even wearing a Scout uniform for part of the show.

We (Mid-America Council) had Weird Al as our main act for our 2000 Jubilee. He is certainly a huge favorite with the youth (and many adults), but those planning that event related that he and his group might have been a bit challenging to work with.

We had Lee Greenwood in 2003, and he was also a tremendous hit. He too wore a Scout Uniform -- but his was worn not as a costume, but as his registered Scouter shirt. I'm not a big country fan, yet thoroughly enjoyed his awesome show. Lee and his people were extremely easy to work with.
